Support
You are our guest, and our community teams are here to help and support you at any point you need during your stay.
The experience
Our project is still in its early stages and we need help in a number of areas like opening up new trails through the forest, teaching English, reforestation projects and improving the accommodation provided so we can offer an even better service for our visitors. Sometimes volunteers will focus on a specific project, but often they carry out a variety of tasks depending on where the need is.
We request a minimum stay of 2 weeks for our volunteers. If you are only able to visit us for a few days but would like to volunteer, we would be very happy to organise a shorter volunteering program, but the daily cost will usually be higher.
We ask that our volunteers are people who are both willing to give and receive.
- You must be eager to learn about ecosystems that are in danger while being immersed in a new culture
- You must want to preserve this unique habitat of exceptional biodiversity
- You must be able to work individually or collaborate in groups and be happy to support community development.
Accommodation
During your time with us as a volunteer you will have a number of options as to where you can stay. Depending on what you prefer and what your program is you can stay as a guest at one of the coffee farms, where you have the option of staying either in the main house in one of the bedrooms in the house, or you could take the more traditional option of a hammock below shelter and beneath a mosquito net, or alternatively camping is also offered for anyone who would like to.
Several families within the community offer the chance for volunteers to stay with them as a home stay. All the accommodation options provided by us, from staying in a room in one of the coffee farms to camping, to staying in a hammock offer bathroom facilities and if you require kitchen facilities too.
